Like every year, the annual income tax return is back!
This year again, you have two options to declare your income for 2020: the internet declaration and the paper declaration.
The Internet declaration
Since Thursday, April 08, 2021, your tax return by internet is available on the website www.impots.gouv.fr. To access it, you must connect to your personal space using your tax number (composed of 13 numbers), and your personal password.
Depending on the department in which you live, the date of submission of your return may be more or less advanced. Here are the 3 deadlines to fill in your declaration, according to your department number.
- Zone 1 : departments 01 to 19 and non-residents Wednesday, May 26, 2021 at 23:59 pm
- Zone 2 : departments 20 to 54 Tuesday, June 01, 2021 at 11:59 pm
- Zone 3 : departments 55 to 95 and overseas departments Tuesday, June 08, 2021 at 11:59 pm
The declaration by paper
If you are unable to complete your tax return by internet, you can in this case return your documents by paper before the deadline of Thursday, May 20, 2021 at 23:59 pm (are also concerned French taxpayers living abroad).
However, only those who have declared their 2019 income by paper, will receive at home a paper declaration. If this is your case, you should receive it between Tuesday, April 06, 2021 and Tuesday, April 27, 2021.
The declaration of your LMNP activity in 2020
As a Non-Professional Landlord of Furnished Accomodation, you must also attach your complementary income tax return in order to justify your furnished rental activity to the tax authorities.
For this, you will soon be informed of the availability of your tax documents on your Serenity Box, so that you can complete the necessary formalities in time (an email will be sent to you on this occasion).
